Mujugun Accelerates Distribution of Beneficial Microorganisms Ahead of Farming Season
Free Supply of 7 Types, 150 Tons Until the End of the Year
[Muju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hanho] Muju County announced on the 2nd that it plans to supply a total of 150 tons of seven types of agricultural microorganisms, including EM, photosynthetic bacteria, lactic acid bacteria, and seaweed amino acids, free of charge to general farms and livestock farms this year.
Farms wishing to receive beneficial microorganisms can visit the Microorganism Cultivation Center within the Muju County Agricultural Technology Center and receive them simply by filling out an application form throughout the year.
A representative from the Muju County Agricultural Technology Center said, "For farmers who find it difficult to visit the Agricultural Technology Center, from March, microorganism supply will also begin at the Mupung and Anseong Agricultural Machinery Rental Business Branches," adding, "We will do our best to produce, supply, and promote high-quality beneficial microorganisms that have various uses, such as reducing the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides to contribute to environmental protection, so that farmers can reduce management costs and increase income."
Meanwhile, the annual production capacity of the Muju County Microorganism Cultivation Center is 140 tons, and last year, it supplied 130 tons to 9,542 farms.
