Through the business agreement signed on the 17th, KB Insurance promised to support the improvement of special education environments by installing sensory integration therapy rooms in special schools within Gyeonggi Province and remodeling existing facilities.
Subsequently, on the 25th, the first sensory integration therapy room was installed and inaugurated at Donghyeon School, a special school located in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province. KB Insurance plans to support the installation and remodeling of sensory integration therapy rooms in a total of 10 schools this year and operate educational programs for children with developmental disabilities.
In addition to the sensory integration therapy room support project, the company decided to use funds prepared by accumulating an amount equivalent to 0.5% of the initial insurance premium of child insurance to support educational camp projects for children with developmental disabilities, aimed at ensuring safe and healthy lives and harmonious family relationships for families of children with developmental disabilities.
The background for KB Insurance's promotion of a new social contribution project specialized for children with developmental disabilities lies in the launch earlier this month of the 'KB Geumjjokgateun Child Insurance,' which is the industry's first to expand coverage to include children's mental and developmental health.
The company explained that the purpose is to demonstrate KB Insurance's sincerity through the promotion of new social contribution projects linked to insurance products.
