Seven Eleven Surpasses 10 Million Visitors to Metaverse Convenience Store
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Seven Eleven announced on the 27th that the number of visitors to the metaverse convenience store ‘Kaia Island Branch’ surpassed 10 million from the 3rd to the 26th of this month.
The Kaia Island Branch is Seven Eleven’s first metaverse store, opened within the mobile casual social network game Play Together by game developer Haegin. It features the same concept interior and part-time staff as offline stores, giving visitors the feeling of actually visiting a convenience store. Users can purchase and consume 13 representative products. In particular, Tuna Mayonnaise Triangle Kimbap, 11-Item Lunchbox, Sumi’s Aged Kimchi Stew Ramen, and Yogurt Jelly each sold over 2 million units.
Among the visitors to the Kaia Island Branch, about 5 million received three types of Bruni costumes by interacting with part-time staff Kim Sso-ok. The three Bruni costumes will be given free of charge to first-time visitors until July. Going forward, Seven Eleven plans to enhance user satisfaction by offering various events such as delivery missions and card games centered around the Bruni character at the Kaia Island Branch.
