On the evening of the 25th, during the 2nd presidential candidate TV debate hosted by the National Election Commission, Sim addressed Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party presidential candidate, saying, "I don't think the Democratic Party is in a position to appeal for a crisis of democracy. The people gave overwhelming power, so what did you do?" She added, "To be honest, Yoon's slogan is 'Yoon Seok-yeol nurtured by the people,' but in my view, isn't Yoon Seok-yeol nurtured by the Democratic Party?"
Sim also criticized the Democratic Party, saying, "There is a mood to judge politics that is hypocritical, incompetent, and arrogant, but I don't think it's right to appeal for a crisis of democracy in that context."
