Justice Party Collected the Highest Average Donation Per Person

According to the "2021 National Assembly Members' Sponsorship Fundraising Details" released by the Central Election Commission on the 25th, the amount raised by National Assembly members last year decreased by 14.1 billion KRW compared to the previous year (53.82452 billion KRW). In election years, members can collect up to 300 million KRW, which is double the usual limit of 150 million KRW. Since there were no general elections last year, the amount of donations decreased.
The average amount raised per National Assembly member was 135.25 million KRW.
Individually, Assembly member Ki Dong-min raised the highest amount at 176.13 million KRW. Jeon Hae-cheol, Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and a member of the Democratic Party, did not raise any donations last year, making his amount the lowest. Among members who raised funds, Jeong Chan-min of the People Power Party raised the least at 15.62 million KRW.
By party, the average donation per member was 142.18 million KRW for the Democratic Party, 131.97 million KRW for the People Power Party, 153.06 million KRW for the Justice Party, 60.63 million KRW for the Justice Party, and 99.33 million KRW for the Open Democratic Party (which merged with the Democratic Party).

Regarding central party donations, 29 central party sponsorship committees raised a total of 5.145 billion KRW. The People Power Party raised the most at 1.421 billion KRW, followed by the Justice Party with 998 million KRW, the Progressive Party with 899 million KRW, Uri Party with 728 million KRW, the Democratic Party with 561 million KRW, the Open Democratic Party with 122 million KRW, the Liberty Democratic Party with 76 million KRW, and the People's Party with 73 million KRW.
