GIST Moon Seung-hyun Former President Retires at Mandatory Retirement Age
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] GIST (Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology) announced on the 25th that it held a retirement ceremony for former President Moon Seung-hyun.
Professor Moon received his Ph.D. in engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, worked as a researcher at Argonne National Laboratory, and joined GIST in August 1994.
He served as the 7th president of GIST for four years from February 2015 to February 2019, and is credited with significantly contributing to advancing the institution's development to the next level.
