President Zelensky: "Ukraine Left Alone... 137 Soldiers Killed Since Russian Invasion"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyunjung] Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine has been "left alone" in the face of Russia's invasion, revealing that at least 137 Ukrainian soldiers have died and 316 have been injured so far.
CNN reported on the 24th (local time) that President Zelensky, in a video message posted on his social media account, said that other countries are afraid to support Ukraine's accession to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
In the video, with a somber expression, he said, "Are you ready to guarantee Ukraine's NATO membership? In fact, everyone is afraid," adding, "I asked several countries if they stand with us, but they are not ready to form an alliance with us."
He continued, "I had numerous conversations with foreign leaders and heard a few things," mentioning, "First, we are receiving support. Not just in words, but I am grateful for the concrete help we are getting." However, he emphasized, "But secondly, we have been left alone to defend our country," and stressed, "Who is ready to fight alongside us? Honestly, I have not seen anyone."
