Public Procurement Service Announces Designation Plan for Quality-Assured Procurement Goods
[Asia Economy (Daejeon), Reporter Jeong Ilwoong] The Public Procurement Service announced on February 24 that it has posted the '2022 Designation Plan for Quality-Assured Procurement Goods' on the Nara Marketplace.
The designation plan includes the evaluation criteria and schedule for the designation of quality-assured procurement goods.
In particular, this year, the social value assessment section has been strengthened. To encourage public procurement companies to fulfill their social responsibilities during the evaluation process, the score for environmental criteria has been increased (from 10 to 15 points), and new credibility bonus points have been introduced for eco-friendly quality management capabilities and support for vulnerable groups.
Applications for designation may be submitted by medium-sized and small enterprises that have registered the item (detailed item name) as 'manufacturing' on their Public Procurement Service competitive bidding qualification certificate, and have either a record of Public Procurement Service inspection (or inspection by a specialized institution) within the past year or have the relevant item listed on the Nara Marketplace integrated shopping mall.
The application period is from February 24 to September 30, and applications can be submitted at any time online via the Nara Marketplace during this period.
After receiving applications, the Public Procurement Service will conduct document reviews and on-site inspections, and plans to designate quality-assured procurement goods and issue certificates in July and October of this year, as well as in January of next year.
Once designated as a quality-assured procurement good, suppliers are exempt from delivery inspections for up to five years and receive benefits such as additional points during bidding.
For further details regarding the application for designation, please refer to the resources section on the Public Procurement Service website.
