Evacuation Order in Ukraine's Luhansk: "Residents Must Leave Immediately"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyun-jung] An evacuation order has been issued for residents of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) region in Ukraine following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
On the 24th, Serhiy Haidai, head of the Luhansk regional government, stated on Facebook, "We recommend that residents of the Luhansk region leave this area immediately," adding, "Vehicle owners should move toward the Dnipro River."
He explained, "Evacuation by train is being prepared for those who cannot leave independently," and "People are being guided to the Lysychansk, Rubizhne, and Svatove train stations." He also emphasized, "During evacuation, please remain calm and follow the instructions of the authorities, police, and the Ukrainian State Emergency Service."

Luhansk, along with Donetsk, is one of the two separatist regions supported by Russia. These two regions are divided into areas controlled by Ukraine and areas managed by pro-Russian separatists.
