Gyeongsang National University - Future Convergence Technology Research Institute Hold ESG Industry-Academic-Research Cooperation Agreement Ceremony
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Future Convergence Technology Research Institute at Gyeongsang National University signed an ESG industry-academia-research cooperation agreement with the Western Gyeongnam Regional Business Council and the National Land Safety Management Agency on the 23rd.
At the signing ceremony, attendees included Jang Haenam, Director of the Future Convergence Technology Research Institute; Lee Seong-gap, Chairman of the Jeongchon Industrial Complex Council; Song Gyun-ho, Chairman of the Jinju Export Business Council; Hwang Tae-bu, Chairman of the Korea Aviation Manufacturing Subcommittee Council; Kim Dong-hoe, Director of the National Land Safety Management Agency; Jeong Jae-woo, Vice President of Gyeongsang National University; and other researchers.
The participating organizations pledged to strengthen their cooperation system by exchanging human resources and technology during the agreement.
According to the agreement, the participating organizations are expected to contribute to creative workforce development and technology advancement through deriving carbon emission reduction technology measures to achieve carbon neutrality goals and researching ways to utilize renewable energy.
Additionally, the event included a special lecture by Kang Kyung-kwan, Deputy General Manager of Korea South-East Power, and a presentation on ESG-related implementation cases by Professor Shin Seung-gu of the Department of Energy Engineering, sharing ways to spread and practice a carbon-neutral culture.
