[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Gumi City, Gyeongbuk Province, is implementing a support project for the installation of vapor recovery systems at gas stations within the city to improve air quality.
The support targets gas stations with an annual gasoline sales volume of less than 1000㎥, providing up to 4 million KRW, covering 40% of the installation cost of vapor recovery systems, depending on the number of fuel pump nozzles.
Gumi City was designated as an air management zone in April 2020, and gas stations under its jurisdiction are required to install vapor recovery systems annually by 2023.
