Private Kindergarten Teacher Subsidy Support... Ulsan Office of Education to Expand Basic Salary Subsidy Increase Support
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education is implementing a policy to expand financial support for private kindergartens this year, including an increase in the basic salary subsidy for private kindergarten teachers to improve their treatment.
This policy was prepared to reduce the educational expenses burden on parents by stabilizing private kindergarten tuition fees and to strengthen financial support for private kindergartens facing difficulties due to the tuition fee increase cap.
The basic salary subsidy for teachers was increased by 30,000 KRW from a maximum of 710,000 KRW per teacher per month last year to 740,000 KRW per month this year.
To ensure employment stability during childbirth and sick leave, support is provided for short-term substitute teacher wages, and convenience items are supplied to pregnant staff members.
This year, newly established childcare leave allowances will also be supported at the level of public kindergarten teachers.
