Hansol Paper, Launches Plastic ZERO Baby Wet Wipes
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Hansol Paper, the largest integrated paper company in Korea, announced on the 23rd that it has launched a baby wet tissue product called 'Whale-Saving Wet Tissue' that does not cause microplastic concerns.
Unlike most regular wet tissues that use fabrics containing plastic-based components, Whale-Saving Wet Tissue features a blend of natural pulp and plant-derived rayon fabric, which does not generate microplastics. It also received a non-detection result in the microplastic analysis test conducted last month by the nationally accredited testing institute (KOTITI Testing & Research Institute).
In particular, Hansol Paper explained that the product is environmentally friendly from the contents to the packaging by applying flushable fabric (fabric that can naturally decompose by water or microorganisms) that passed the international disintegration standard (INDA ADANA), and using packaging materials certified under the national green certification system for technology and products.
Additionally, it obtained the highest grade of 'Excellent' in the skin irritation test by Germany's Dermatest, and only safe ingredients are used after a rigorous raw material selection process. Artificial fragrances are excluded, and it contains chamomile extract, making it safe to use even on sensitive baby skin.
Whale-Saving Wet Tissue is available in two types: a large-capacity cap type and a portable type. Sales will begin through the Naver shopping channel and will expand to various online channels in the future.
