View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Boryeong] Ahn Cheol-soo, the presidential candidate of the People’s Party visiting Busan, blamed Yoon Seok-youl, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, for the failure of the 'opposition unity' and criticized him by saying he 'ran away because he was afraid of the primary.'
On the 22nd, Candidate Ahn visited Busan with his spouse, Professor Kim Mi-kyung of Seoul National University, and campaigned at places such as the International Market and Bupyeong Kkangtong Market.
During this, a man said, "Wouldn't it be okay to unite with Candidate Yoon of the People Power Party?" and added, "Even if the People Power Party takes power, Candidate Ahn has the power to establish the government properly from a good position, so if you do well, next time is definitely certain."
To this, Candidate Ahn emphasized, "I proposed to have a primary, didn't I?" and said, "But (Candidate Yoon) was scared and ran away. Rather, if he gives up, I will bring about a regime change."
A merchant referred to the TV debate held the previous day and said to Candidate Ahn, "You should criticize the other side, but you keep criticizing only one person (Candidate Yoon)." Hearing this, Candidate Ahn replied, "I criticized everyone hard," and added, "People who get flustered seem to be criticized a lot, and shameless people seem not to be criticized, but I criticized everyone." In the TV debate the day before, Candidate Ahn showed gestures such as saying to Candidate Yoon, "You are missing the point," and "It seems you haven't thought deeply," or shaking his head.
Additionally, when another woman repeatedly said, "I watched the debate well," and "You did the best," Candidate Ahn smiled and said, "I only used half of my ability."
At the Busan Gwangbok-dong fashion street, Candidate Ahn simultaneously targeted Candidate Yoon and Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea. He said, "If only the regime changes but nothing else changes, what is the use of regime change? That is a replacement of deep-rooted evils," and emphasized, "The next president must be morally clean, truly capable, knowledgeable about the economy, and able to revive the economy to make a better Republic of Korea."
