Gochang-gun Selected as Finalist for 'Public Service Linkage Enhancement Contest'

[Gochang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] On the 21st, Jeonbuk Gochang-gun announced that it has been finally selected for the 'Public Service Linkage Enhancement Project in Residents' Living Sites' hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, securing a project fund of 100 million won.

With this, the county has been selected three times out of a total of four public contests from 2019 to 2022, and was the only one chosen in Jeonbuk for the second consecutive year.

The county plans to provide public services at the myeon (township) level, where public transportation systems are poor, by linking healing agriculture and other initiatives.

Additionally, by utilizing residential, cultural, and sports spaces prepared through projects such as the Rural Central Area Revitalization Project, the county plans to produce and deliver necessary services to the region through linkage and cooperation among various stakeholders.

Specifically, programs such as ▲myeon base healing care ▲healing happiness outings ▲daily life inconvenience relief village care ▲operation of a sunny laundry care community ▲meal support for middle-aged single-person households are being prepared.

A county official stated, “We will actively utilize the county’s diverse healing agriculture resources and the living SOC infrastructure established at the myeon level to build capabilities through solidarity and cooperation among community members and create sustainable public services.”

Meanwhile, the public service linkage enhancement project is an advanced model that links various public services such as welfare, health, housing, and employment from the residents’ perspective according to local conditions, expands resident participation in the service delivery process, and solves problems in daily life.
