Innocean, Kia Super Bowl EV6 Ad Preference Ranks 'No.1 Automobile Brand'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Innocean Worldwide announced on the 21st that Kia's EV6 commercial, which aired during the American professional football championship game 'Super Bowl 2022,' ranked first among automobile brands and fourth overall in the Super Bowl ad preference survey.
The 56th Super Bowl this year was held at SoFi Stadium near Los Angeles, California. The American comprehensive daily newspaper USA Today announced the results of the Super Bowl ad preference survey based on real-time online voting conducted on a total of 70 commercials aired during the game broadcast.
The 60-second Kia commercial titled 'Robo Dog,' which ranked first among automobile brands and fourth overall, was released after the end of the third quarter of the game. The commercial, introduced by Kia to the U.S. market, features Kia's first dedicated electric vehicle EV6 and includes the robot dog 'Spot.' The video symbolically depicts charging the Robo Dog's battery through the EV6's power supply function.
According to the American automobile evaluation specialist website 'Cars.com,' traffic to the Kia brand page increased by 921% after the commercial aired. As inquiries about purchasing the EV6 flooded Kia's homepage, the number of visitors surged to approximately 480,000 on the day of the Super Bowl alone.
