[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Chang-won] Jerajin Lee Jae-myung Jeju Election Countermeasures Committee (Jerajin Jeju Election Committee) held a focused campaign rally at Seogwipo Folk Five-Day Market on the 19th, appealing for support for the Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myung.
On this day, the Jerajin Jeju Election Committee conducted a focused campaign rally targeting merchants and market visitors at Seogwipo Folk Five-Day Market.
The focused campaign rally included National Assembly members Oh Young-hoon and Wi Seong-gon, as well as Standing Election Committee Chairmen Moon Dae-rim, Song Seung-cheon, Kim Young-ik, and Jeju Provincial Assembly members Kim Yong-beom, Kim Dae-jin, Go Young-ho, Jo Hoon-bae, and Kang Min-suk.
National Assembly member Oh Young-hoon stated, “Due to the COVID-19 crisis, many citizens are suffering, so the Democratic Party had no choice but to hold a National Assembly Budget Committee meeting early this morning and unilaterally pass a supplementary budget of 14 trillion won.” He added, “We will immediately provide 3 million won per person in quarantine support funds once the presidential election ends. Lee Jae-myung and the Democratic Party will take the lead in supporting special employment workers and others who are exhausted and struggling due to quarantine measures.” He continued, “We cannot turn South Korea back to the past. If candidate Yoon Seok-yeol is elected, South Korea will become a prosecution republic,” and expressed, “South Korea’s democracy, which had reached the highest level in Asia, will regress.” Furthermore, he emphasized, “Choosing candidate Yoon Seok-yeol means returning to the past, while choosing candidate Lee Jae-myung means moving toward a new future.”
National Assembly member Wi Seong-gon said, “South Korea is currently facing huge crises such as climate crisis, economic crisis, COVID-19, low growth, and polarization,” adding, “In such crises, a competent president is needed. A president who understands household finances well is needed.” He also said, “Candidate Lee Jae-myung, having served as mayor of Seongnam and governor of Gyeonggi Province, closely examined the lives of ordinary people and produced concrete results,” and evaluated, “He showed leadership in action by fulfilling over 95% of his pledges.” Along with this, he appealed, “South Korea stands at a crossroads whether to become a prosecution republic or an advanced economic power,” and urged, “For the future of South Korea, please vote for candidate Lee Jae-myung, who presents a vision and future, not the past or opposition.”
Standing Election Committee Chairman Moon Dae-rim said, “The candidate who understands the pain of ordinary people and can wipe the tears of the weak is Lee Jae-myung,” and stated, “In the era of COVID-19, energy, and economic crises, the general commander for overcoming the crisis is candidate Lee Jae-myung.” He also urged, “Let us vigorously open a new day together with candidate Lee Jae-myung, the general commander for overcoming the crisis and economic president who promised to make Jeju an island of peace and human rights, the capital of ecology and environment, complete resolution of the April 3 incident, zero waste era, and a clean and livable special autonomous province.”
