Speed skaters Jeong Jae-won (Uijeongbu City Hall) and Lee Seung-hoon (IHQ) won the silver and bronze medals respectively in the men's mass start. On the 19th, Jeong Jae-won finished second with 40 sprint points behind Bart Swings (Belgium, 63 points) in the men's mass start final at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics held at the National Speed Skating Oval in Beijing, China. The mass start is an event where multiple skaters compete over sixteen laps. Sprint points are awarded to the skaters who pass first to third at the 4th, 8th, and 12th laps, with 3 points for first place, 2 points for second, and 1 point for third, respectively. At the finish line, points are awarded as follows: 60 points for first place, 40 points for second, 20 points for third, 10 points for fourth, 6 points for fifth, and 3 points for sixth.
