LG Hires Former White House Deputy Chief of Staff Heygin as Head of Government Affairs
[Asia Economy New York=Special Correspondent Seulgina Cho] LG Group announced on the 18th (local time) that it has recruited Joe Hagin, who served as Deputy Chief of Staff at the White House during former President Donald Trump's administration.
Former Deputy Chief of Staff Hagin will jointly serve as head of LG Group's Washington office alongside Executive Director Byungdae Lim. He will be responsible for overseeing external cooperation activities targeting the U.S. government, Congress, and various agencies. Until now, LG Group was the only one among the four major conglomerates without an office in Washington, but it plans to start operations soon.
Former Deputy Chief of Staff Hagin worked at the White House for 15 years during the administrations of four Republican presidents: Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, and Donald Trump. He is known as a 'White House veteran' with extensive connections in U.S. politics and Congress.
