Personal Information Protection Commission to Inspect Whether Visitor Logs Are Destroyed Following Suspension of Mandatory Log-Keeping

This measure follows the quarantine authorities' decision to temporarily suspend the mandatory use of entry logs starting from the 19th, in line with the transition of the epidemiological investigation management system.

The Personal Information Protection Commission plans to focus inspections from the end of this month through next month on whether the entry records collected by the Korea Social Security Information Service, QR code issuing agencies, and Safe Call service agencies have been destroyed and whether collection activities have been halted. Additionally, it requested each local government to actively inform facility managers about the temporary suspension of entry log use and to immediately destroy all managed entry logs.
