Namwon-si, Small Business Owners Can Apply for 'Disaster Relief Fund' Until the 28th
[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Young-kwon] Namwon City, Jeollabuk-do, has been accepting applications for disaster relief funds for facilities complying with the Jeollabuk-do small business COVID-19 administrative orders since the 17th of last month.
According to the city on the 18th, the disaster relief funds being provided this time are intended to boost the morale of small business owners who are experiencing economic difficulties due to the COVID-19 social distancing administrative orders and to revitalize the local economy.
The city is providing a total of 800,000 KRW to 31 types of businesses, including restaurants that have been subject to administrative orders such as closure and business restrictions due to COVID-19.
In the case of Namwon City, a total of 3,015 businesses are eligible.
As of February 17, 2022, out of the 3,015 businesses, 2,226 have applied, and disaster relief funds have been paid to 1,882 businesses, showing a payment rate of 84.5% compared to the number of applications.
Applications can be submitted by the representatives of eligible facilities by visiting the City Hall Safety and Disaster Division or the Eup/Myeon/Dong Administrative Welfare Centers with a business registration certificate, administrative agency permit/license (business registration certificate), a copy of a bankbook in their name, and an ID card by the 28th.
For free businesses without an administrative agency permit/license, a confirmation of compliance with the administrative order from the responsible department is required, so prior confirmation before visiting is necessary.
A city official said, "We will do our best to ensure that disaster relief funds are quickly provided to small business owners who are experiencing economic difficulties due to the COVID-19 administrative orders."
