On the 17th, NongHyup Financial Group held the '2022 1st NongHyup Financial DT Promotion Supreme Council' at its headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, with chief digital officers from all affiliates participating.
At the meeting, chaired by Lee Sangrae, Head of Digital Finance Division at NongHyup Financial Group, discussions were held on the achievements of digital transformation over the past year and the direction for DT promotion this year.
Looking at last year's major achievements, the total number of subscribers to key mobile apps such as AllOne Bank and Namu reached 27.9 million, showing a high growth rate of 32.9% compared to the previous year. In addition, the bank and securities obtained authorization as MyData operators and launched high-level data-based asset management services. The bank's 'NH Asset+' attracted 1.1 million customers and received high scores in external customer evaluations, proving its competitiveness. In particular, NongHyup Card's non-face-to-face issuance performance increased by 34.2% compared to the previous year.
NongHyup Financial Group plans to actively accelerate digital transformation based on a two-track strategy that promotes work efficiency through the internalization of DT in each affiliate while focusing on managing key tasks for which affiliate CEOs are responsible.
As the top DT tasks, the bank selected 'improving non-face-to-face processes to resolve customer pain points,' and the securities division chose 'digitalization of customer consultation tasks and introduction of digital branches.'
The bank's task to improve non-face-to-face processes to resolve customer pain points is aimed at preparing for the next 10 years of non-face-to-face channels, focusing on thoroughly identifying inconveniences from the customer's perspective?from product search and subscription to post-management?and comprehensively improving the step-by-step processes.
The securities division's task of digitalizing customer consultation and introducing digital branches divides the retail digital channels into Mobile Trading System (MTS), Customer Support Center, and Wealth Management (WM) Center, and aims to enhance both customer convenience and work efficiency by introducing 24-hour chatbot services and Smart Teller Machines (STM) at each customer touchpoint.
Division Head Lee Sangrae emphasized, "To achieve company-wide DT, it is crucial to rearm all employees with a digital mindset," and added, "We will actively recruit external experts to lead digital finance in the future and nurture internal talent through our own DT Master certification system, encouraging them to actively challenge projects utilizing new technologies such as metaverse, artificial intelligence (AI), and blockchain based on excellent human resources."
Since May last year, NongHyup Financial Group has been pooling its entire digital capabilities to upgrade its flagship app 'AllOne Bank' into a customer-centric comprehensive financial platform, with the official service launch scheduled for June this year.
