The Anseong Police Station in Gyeonggi announced on the 17th that they have arrested and are investigating a woman in her 60s, identified as A, on charges of assault and property damage.
A is accused of pushing B, a city council member of Anseong, and scratching the back of his hand around 4:20 PM while passing through Anseong city.
During the incident, when Councilman B took out his cellphone to report to 112, A allegedly snatched it and threw it, causing damage.
The assaulted council member was moving while wearing campaign clothes for election activities, and A reportedly verbally abused and hit him, saying, "Who do you think you are wearing blue clothes?" and "Are you Lee Jae-myung's wife?"
