NATO Secretary General: "No Sign of Russian Troop Withdrawal"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), stated on the 17th (local time) that there has been no sign of Russian troop withdrawal so far.
At the NATO defense ministers' meeting held in Brussels, Belgium, Stoltenberg said, "There are signals that diplomacy with Russia can continue," but added, "However, so far, we have not seen any signs of withdrawal or de-escalation."
Western countries, including the United States, have claimed that despite Russia's announcement of troop returns, no meaningful scale of Russian troop withdrawal has been observed, and rather, troop numbers have increased.
