Entered Level 1 Response Duty
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Twenty-three public officials of Dong-gu Office in Gwangju Metropolitan City tested positive at once, prompting the initiation of a response duty system.
According to Dong-gu on the 17th, as many affiliated public officials tested positive the previous day, department-level COVID-19 response duty began.
Dong-gu entered the first stage of response duty, which allows for task substitution within the same department, based on service guidelines divided into three stages according to the scale of confirmed cases at the section level due to sporadic infections.
The second stage applies when about half of the employees test positive, prohibiting face-to-face approvals, and the third stage involves temporary closure of the department if more than half are infected.
