Gwangju Gwangsan-gu Begins Cadastral Resurvey Project for 1,239 Parcels in 3 Districts
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 17th that it will officially launch the 2022 cadastral resurvey project targeting 1,239 parcels and 907,195㎡ across three districts.
The cadastral resurvey project is a national initiative to align the actual land use status with the registered details in the cadastral records and to convert paper cadastral maps into digital formats.
Its purpose is to resolve disputes among landowners through land regularization and boundary adjustments, efficiently manage national land, and protect citizens' property rights.
This year's project targets three districts: Jisan 1 District (607 parcels, 420,000㎡), Seondong 1 District (516 parcels, 442,000㎡), and Seondong 2 District (116 parcels, 44,000㎡).
The district previously held an online residents' briefing session to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
By the end of May, Gwangju City plans to receive related documents such as consent forms for the designation of cadastral resurvey districts and consent forms for the formation of landowners' councils from landowners in the three districts to apply for the designation of project districts.
Meanwhile, in November last year, Gwangsan-gu selected the Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation Gwangju West Branch as the responsible agency for executing the cadastral resurvey project.
