This service integrates and advances existing SmartThings-based services, supporting the customer-centric multi-device experience that Samsung Electronics has recently emphasized.
Bespoke Home offers three core values: ▲‘Expansion of space’ through a variety of product lines ▲‘Expansion of time’ by extending product usage periods through additional installation of modular products, panel replacement as needed, and lifetime warranty on key components ▲‘Expansion of ecosystem’ by providing more services through collaboration with partners. This year, they have added a fourth value, ‘Expansion of experience.’
Six major services that consumers need most at home?cooking, air care, pet care, clothing care, energy, and home care?are integrated. By tapping the ‘Life’ icon in the SmartThings app, users can easily manage various home appliances in one place. This service is available not only on smartphones but also on tablets, Family Hub refrigerators, and supports voice control. Development is underway to enable use on TVs in the future.
The cooking service offers recipe recommendations based on stored ingredients, allows inventory management of wines stored in the wine refrigerator by photographing wine bottle labels, and recommends recipes that pair well with the red wines owned. Additionally, scanning the barcode of purchased meat with the camera sets the defrost function according to the meat’s weight.
The energy service provides monthly electricity usage and estimated bills, predicts usage with AI, and alerts users if progressive rates are expected. Using the ‘AI Saving Mode’ automatically switches appliances to power-saving mode before reaching progressive rates, helping efficient energy use. Air care analyzes both indoor and outdoor air quality and automatically controls the air purifier. Clothing care enables optimal garment management through collaboration among clothing care appliances such as washers, dryers, and Air Dressers.
Additionally, the pet care service is useful by detecting barking from pets left alone at home and playing healing music or TV programs. The home care service provides guidance on causes and solutions when abnormalities occur based on product usage data and notifies users when cleaning or consumable replacement is needed, helping consumers easily manage their products.
