Jungjingong-UPS Business Agreement... Cooperation for Supporting E-commerce Export and Logistics of SMEs

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Kwon Chil-seung) and the Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 17th that they will hold the 'Global E-commerce Forum.' The Global E-commerce Forum, held for the first time this year, was planned to share the achievements of online export support policies, present forecasts for the global e-commerce market, and propose market entry strategies and solutions for SMEs and startups. The forum can be attended via the SBC GoBiz Korea YouTube channel.
The forum will begin with a keynote speech by Professor Hwang Ji-young of the University of North Carolina on the topic of 'The Evolution of Consumer Experience and E-commerce Growth Strategies.' This will be followed by Vice President Shim Hyun-bo of Deloitte Consulting introducing 'Key Keywords and Trend Forecasts for the Global E-commerce Industry in 2022.' In the subsequent expert lectures, Kwon Yoon-ah, President of Shopee Korea, will share 'E-commerce Marketing Insights,' Kim Hong-joo, Director of UPS, will discuss 'Current Logistics Crisis and Response Measures,' and Park Beom-soon, Executive Director of SAP Korea, will provide information on 'B2B Content Marketing.' Under the chairmanship of Professor Lee Dong-il of Sejong University, e-commerce experts and online export companies will participate in a discussion on support tasks for SME online exports.
Before the forum begins, SBC will sign an agreement with UPS Korea to activate electronic commerce exports for SMEs and strengthen logistics competitiveness. UPS Korea will offer preferential services such as discounts of up to 66% off the published rates for international express shipping to domestic SMEs. Additionally, both parties plan to actively cooperate in the development and operation of logistics support systems for SMEs.
