President Jeong conducted safety inspections on the dismantling work of a 2300-ton crane and the installation of tower cranes at the Shin-Kori Units 5 and 6 site, and checked for any abnormalities in safety management at the safety control room overseeing the site.
He then held a meeting with site managers from partner companies at the construction site, urging them to work together to ensure a safe workplace. Earlier, on the 3rd, President Jeong also visited the Wolseong Unit 2 power plant site, strengthening safety management activities.
KHNP has designated the period until April 16 as the "Special Emphasis Period for Major Accident Prevention" and is making every effort to prevent accidents.
KHNP is carrying out on-site safety enhancement activities such as supporting certification costs for safety and health management systems for partner companies and introducing the "Safety Call" system, which allows anyone to request a work stoppage upon discovering safety hazards.
