Let's Explore with Admissions Officers... Gyeongnam Office of Education Conducts Comprehensive Student Record Counseling for Prospective 11th and 12th Graders
Customized College Admission Preparation Including Student Records, Personal Statements, and Interviews
Held at Gyeongnam College Admission Information Center Until the 18th
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Se-ryeong] The Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education is operating a ‘Comprehensive Student Record Screening Consultation with University Admissions Officers’ for prospective high school 2nd and 3rd-year students and their parents.
They plan to provide a customized college admission collaboration program for students and parents who are concerned about preparing for the new semester and university entrance exams.
For prospective high school sophomores and juniors before the start of the semester, various admission information regarding the comprehensive student record screening will be provided, along with guidance on screening methods, document evaluation methods, and ways to enrich the school life record.
The comprehensive student record screening selects students who have diligently engaged in school life based on materials such as school life records, self-introduction letters, and interviews.
The consultations will be held from the 15th to the 18th of this month at the 2nd floor of the Gyeongnam University Admission Information Center in the Gyeongnam Office of Education’s 2nd building.
They will be conducted from 4 PM to 9 PM for 96 pre-registered students and parents, with each consultation lasting 40 minutes.
The Gyeongnam Office of Education invites current admissions officers to alleviate the difficulties faced by students preparing for the comprehensive student record screening.
They will provide guidance on the eight areas of the school life record, focusing on major evaluation factors such as academic ability, major suitability, personality, and potential for development, as well as advantageous ways to manage school life for admissions.
For prospective high school sophomores, who have many areas not reflected in college admissions such as the abolition of the self-introduction letter, awards in school life records, autonomous clubs, and individual volunteer activities, related countermeasures will also be addressed.
The Gyeongnam University Admission Information Center stated that only parents who have completed at least the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine within the last six months, according to training session standards, are allowed entry.
To prevent COVID-19 infection, they urged active cooperation with quarantine measures such as wearing masks, temperature checks, hand sanitization, and sitting in individually assigned seats.
