[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kang Wooseok] Teenage youths who stole a car and drove recklessly without a license have been caught by the police.
According to Yonhap News on the 15th, the Gwangju Dongbu Police Station is investigating two teenagers, including A, on charges of special theft and violation of the Road Traffic Act.
A and others are accused of stealing an unlocked passenger car on a street in Sansu-dong, Dong-gu, Gwangju, around 5:30 a.m. on the 9th.
They are under investigation for taking turns driving without a license all the way to Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province. They are also charged with speeding and reckless driving at speeds exceeding 150 km/h during the trip.
A and others were caught and handed over to the Pyeongtaek Police Station while driving the car. It was found that they drove out of curiosity after confirming that the key was inside the vehicle.
