President Moon presides over the first External Economic Security Strategy Meeting... Supply Chain Discussions
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Amid concerns over a global supply chain crisis caused by the Ukraine situation, President Moon Jae-in will preside over the Foreign Economic Security Strategy Meeting at the Blue House on the afternoon of the 14th to discuss supply chain issues.
This is the first time President Moon has chaired the Foreign Economic Security Strategy Meeting since it was established in October last year. It appears to reflect the government's recognition of the need for a proactive response to supply chain concerns triggered by the recent Ukraine situation.
At the meeting, President Moon is expected to receive reports on the impact of the Ukraine situation on South Korea and discuss with attendees measures to address supply chain, financial, and foreign exchange market issues.
