US Withdraws Embassy Staff from Ukraine Amid Fears of Russian Invasion
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] Reports have emerged that the U.S. government plans to evacuate its embassy staff in Ukraine.
On the 11th (local time), the Associated Press cited officials saying that the U.S. State Department is expected to order all staff at the embassy in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, to withdraw before a Russian invasion on the 12th.
This measure is interpreted as a response to warnings from U.S. and other Western intelligence agencies that a Russian invasion of Ukraine is imminent.
