[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] The police have handed over lawyer Jeong Cheol-seung (52), who was sued by the victim of the late former Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon’s sexual violence case for revealing the victim’s identity on social networking services (SNS), to the prosecution.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 10th that on the 28th of last month, they transferred lawyer Jeong to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes (disclosure of the victim’s identity and privacy), violation of the Personal Information Protection Act, breach of official secrets, and defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act.
