[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Amid the recent home cafe craze, powdered beverage products have gained popularity, but some products have been blocked from sale due to the possibility of containing metallic foreign substances or glass fragments.
According to the Korea Consumer Agency's Consumer Hazard Monitoring System on the 10th, products such as Country Time Lemonade, Kool-Aid Tropical Punch, and Tang Orange were recalled in the United States due to concerns over consumer harm.
The Consumer Agency investigated whether these products were distributed domestically after receiving recall information through the Consumer Hazard Monitoring System. As a result, the same products were found listed and sold on domestic online shopping malls, leading to recommendations for sales suspension and other measures, and the respective businesses have blocked sales of the products.
