Black Diamond from Space 'The Enigma' Sold for 5.1 Billion Won at Auction

According to reports, The Enigma was auctioned online at Sotheby's auction house in London, UK, and was sold for ?3.16 million. Sotheby's explained that black diamonds are usually found near the Earth's surface, which suggests that black diamonds come from space, promoting this diamond as a "wonder of the universe."
Estimated to have been created billions of years ago when a meteorite collided with Earth, The Enigma is designed with 55 facets and weighs 555.55 carats. It had not been seen for over 20 years by an unnamed owner but was recently exhibited in Dubai, Los Angeles (LA), and London ahead of the sale.
