Evebot Recruits Kim Young-tae, Former Samsung Electronics Vice President
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Ji-hwan] Domestic home service robot company Everybot has appointed Kim Young-tae, Executive Director of Samsung Electronics' Home Appliance Division, as Vice President of Everybot.
In his inauguration speech on the 10th, Vice President Kim expressed his ambition, stating, "We will develop into a specialized robot company utilized in every corner of consumers' lives, living up to the name 'Everyday, Everywhere, Everybot.'"
Vice President Kim graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Mechanical Design and joined Samsung Electronics, dedicating 35 years exclusively to the home appliance sector of Samsung Electronics' Home Appliance Business Division. He has held various roles at Samsung Electronics, including product planning, quality, development, and manufacturing, and served as an Executive Director.
Notably, while serving as the head of the motor group responsible for motors, a core component of major home appliances, he localized motor technology that had previously depended on external sources. He succeeded in developing a high-efficiency ultra-lightweight motor, advancing the technological capabilities of domestic home appliances to a new level. He also led innovation within Samsung Electronics' home appliance business by introducing Korea's first AI and Lidar-based robot vacuum cleaner, pioneering the global robot vacuum cleaner market.

Everybot plans to develop various home service robots by combining Vice President Kim Young-tae's 35 years of experience in the home appliance business with its autonomous driving robot technology. Vice President Kim stated, "Everybot is a company equipped with core autonomous driving technologies such as smart vision mapping and vision processing technology," adding, "We will continue to expand our research and development personnel and collaborate with global companies at home and abroad to leap forward as a global home service robot specialist company."
