[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeollanam-do Hwasun County announced on the 10th that it will actively promote the 'Senior Job Project' with a budget of 15.8 billion KRW.
The county will operate 14 senior job projects in four categories: public interest type, social service type, market type, and self-operated type, starting from the end of this month.
This year, 4,930 seniors will participate in the senior job project.
Eleven projects, including Nono Care and Beautiful Village Making, are scheduled to begin on the 28th, when contracts are completed.
Due to the nature of the projects, three projects?senior meal service assistants at senior cafeterias, public facility guide assistants, and three-generation childcare assistants?have already started since last month.
The senior job projects will operate until December, with public interest and market types providing 270,000 KRW for 30 hours of monthly activity, and social service types providing 590,000 KRW for 60 hours of activity.
The county expects effects such as economic stability for seniors, health improvement through social activity participation, and better interpersonal relationships.
A county official said, "To ensure the safe operation of the senior job project, we will conduct personal quarantine rule education and on-site safety training regularly," adding, "We will do our best to discover various jobs reflecting the needs and demands of seniors to guarantee their happy later life."
