Gyeonggi Office of Education to Hold Regional 'Innovative Education District Communication Council' Meetings
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will hold a council meeting with 31 cities and counties in the province to discuss the '2022 Innovative Education District Operation.'
The Gyeonggi Office of Education announced on the 9th that officials from basic local governments and education support offices will gather in one place to share excellent cases practiced through cooperation between schools and communities last year, as well as plans for this year. To discuss educational issues and policies by district, the 31 cities and counties will be divided into six groups, matching the innovative school regional network, and council meetings will be held from the 10th to the 18th of this month at the Gyeonggi Office of Education Northern Office, the 4·16 Democratic Citizenship Education Center, and Anseong Mongshil School.
Kim Beom-jin, Director of School Policy at the Gyeonggi Office of Education, emphasized, "For the 31 cities and counties in the province to share the direction of Gyeonggi innovative education and for schools and communities to cooperate in practicing distinctive innovative education, communication and understanding are most important." He added, "We will do our best to establish policies where local governments, support offices, and the provincial office of education cooperate to resolve regional educational issues raised at this council meeting, and where schools and communities grow together."
