[Asia Economy Reporter Seomibeum] ‘Baechu Boy’ Lee Sang-ho (High1) crossed the finish line in first place in the qualifiers of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics Ski Snowboard Alpine event.
On the 8th, at Genting Snow Park in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, China, Lee Sang-ho recorded a combined time of 1 minute 20.54 seconds in the first and second runs of the men's parallel giant slalom qualifiers in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics Snowboard Alpine event, advancing to the round of 16 in first place among 32 competitors.
Afterwards, the round of 16 will feature head-to-head tournament matches between two competitors. The quarterfinal tournament will begin at 4:15 PM (Korean time). If he wins the gold medal in this event, it will be the first Olympic gold medal in Korean skiing history. Lee Sang-ho previously won a silver medal at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics.
