First in the Industry to Apply Map Reading to Public Institution List Data
Easily Find Local Hospitals Where Testing Is Available
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Mobile healthcare platform Goodoc is providing a service to find hospitals offering COVID-19 rapid antigen tests.
CareLabs announced on the 6th that its subsidiary Goodoc has completed the app implementation of a feature that guides the locations of hospitals capable of performing COVID-19 rapid antigen tests on a map and has officially started the service.
Users who want to use the hospital location service for rapid antigen testing can apply the newly added ‘COVID Test’ filter in the hospital search function within the Goodoc platform and look for the label 'COVID Rapid Antigen Test' in the detailed hospital information.
The rapid antigen test is a method of detecting infection by dropping a specimen collected from inside the nose onto a kit, with results available after 15 minutes. Its speed is considered an advantage compared to the existing PCR test, which takes 6 to 24 hours. Following the spread of the Omicron variant, the government has shifted the testing and treatment system since the 3rd to allow rapid antigen testing at pre-designated respiratory medical institutions nationwide.
Im Jinseok, CEO of Goodoc, said, "This was developed with the intention of improving convenience from the user's perspective by accessing public data listing hospitals provided by government agencies." He added, "Anyone can easily find the target hospitals centered around the user's location on the map," and "We hope this will reduce confusion between patients and medical institutions and greatly assist in quarantine procedures."
