Lee Jun-seok "The ruling party mobilized by impersonating the late former president... Unimaginable"
Criticism of 'Letter from Roh Moo-hyun' Video on Yeo's YouTube Channel
"Could Have Caused Voter Confusion... Will Report to the Election Commission"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, criticized the video titled "Letter from Roh Moo-hyun," which was posted and then deleted on the Democratic Party's official YouTube channel 'Deli Minju,' saying, "I never imagined this."
On the 6th, Lee wrote on his Facebook, "I can't believe the Democratic Party included a koala that became a meme on Ilbe to ridicule former President Roh in their promotional video," adding, "From the start, mobilizing a tragically deceased former president for an election by even doing impersonations is an unimaginable election strategy."
He continued, "The National Election Commission has previously notified that operating an AI version of Yoon Seok-yeol against the candidate's will is subject to regulation," and pointed out, "The Democratic Party's 'impersonation and voice mimicry video of former President Roh' neither reflects the late president's will nor can it avoid causing significant confusion among voters."

Earlier, on the 5th, the Democratic Party's official YouTube channel 'Deli Minju' uploaded a video titled "Even after thinking twice, it's Lee Jae-myung. Letter from Roh Moo-hyun." The video features a fictional voice of former President Roh supporting candidate Lee.
The fictional former president Roh says, "The 20th presidential election is just around the corner," and "I, Roh Moo-hyun, dreamed of a world where people live together, overcoming poverty and adversity, thinking only of the people, refusing to compromise with injustice, and fighting and winning against vested interests, support the righteous candidate Lee."
However, some netizens strongly opposed this, saying, "Are you trying to use the deceased for election purposes?" Amid growing controversy, the Democratic Party deleted the video.

It was pointed out that the design of the 'ㅅ' in the phrase 'Saram Saneun Sesang' (A World Where People Live) in the video differs from the official logo.
Regarding this, Park Min-young, youth aide of the People Power Party, said, "We received a report that the 'Letter from Roh Moo-hyun' video included an image presumed to be the Ilbe mark. It seems the Democratic Party only took down the video after we gave feedback, indicating that their self-purification function is completely broken," adding, "It's truly regrettable."
