[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] A man in his 40s who was prosecuted for deceiving men into entering unrelated women's homes by pretending to be a woman on a chat application (app) was sentenced to probation.
Han Kyunghwan, a judge of the Criminal Division 2 at the Seoul Western District Court, announced on the 6th that Yang Mo (47), who was charged with trespassing, was sentenced to six months in prison with two years of probation. The judge also ordered 80 hours of community service.
Yang was charged with introducing himself as a woman on a chat app and causing men to visit the homes of unrelated women a total of 11 times from July 2020 to June last year.
