Bucket Studio, Korea's First Collaboration with Children's Publishers
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Bucket Studio is expanding its live commerce business by partnering with a well-known domestic children's book publisher.
Bucket Studio announced on the 4th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Gye Mong Sa. Bucket Studio has been designated as the official live commerce agency to broadcast not only books published by Gye Mong Sa but also related affiliated products such as movies, plays, and toys. Through this agreement, Bucket Studio and Gye Mong Sa will promote business necessary to achieve other purposes such as developing and supporting distribution channels, participating in joint cooperative projects, and other exchanges.
Gye Mong Sa, established in 1946, is the first specialized children's book publisher in Korea. It gained popularity with series such as Disney Picture Classics, Korean Fairy Tale Collections, World Classic Collections, and World Great Figures Collections. It has received awards including the Seoul City Culture Award, Korea Publishing Merit Award, and Presidential Citation. Many works have been selected as excellent books by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture. It has partnerships with well-known bookstores and platforms such as Kyobo Bookstore, Aladin, Ridibooks, Millie's Library, as well as famous content companies like Disney and Watcha.
Kim Yongbo, director of Gye Mong Sa, said, "While exploring approaches suitable for the changing market, such as producing fairy tale video books and publishing audiobooks, we recognized the importance of live commerce," adding, "We will introduce various works through Bucket Studio's live broadcasts and strive for interactive communication with readers."
Bucket Studio operates a live commerce team composed of professional personnel including exclusive show hosts, PDs, and MDs. Based on its own studio and broadcasting equipment, it has established a systematic system and founded the live commerce specialized platform Bithumb Live. It is expected to help expand various references for Gye Mong Sa through broadcasts.
