[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young]The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced on the 3rd that it will expand the eligibility for the housekeeping and caregiving home visit support project, which was previously available to the lower-income class, to those with up to 70% of the median income.
This project provides vouchers for housekeeping and caregiving home visit services for 24 hours or 27 hours per month to low-income individuals who have difficulty with daily life and social activities.
Eligible recipients include severely disabled persons under the age of 65 with income below 70% of the median income, patients with severe illnesses requiring treatment for more than six months, patients with rare and intractable diseases, children from single-parent families, grandparent-headed families, and legally protected single-parent households. Among medical aid recipients, discharged patients requiring case management due to long-term hospitalization are provided with a 40-hour monthly service voucher for one year.
