Seoul Gangseo-gu Video Media Center Selected as 'Outstanding Certified Institution for Career Education Contributions'
Awarded Minister of Education Commendation for Collaboration in Career Exploration Activities...Received Positive Evaluations for On-site Job Experience Education Donations and Professional Mentoring
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangseo-gu's exceptional efforts for the future of youth have been recognized externally.
Seoul Gangseo-gu (Mayor Noh Hyun-song) announced that the Gangseo-gu Video Media Center (hereinafter referred to as the Video Media Center) was selected as an 'Excellent Certified Institution for Career Education in 2021' in the field of career exploration activity cooperation and received the Minister of Education Commendation.
This award is a result of recognition for establishing a regional cooperation system for youth career education and revitalizing career experience education for local youth by utilizing the institution's expertise.
The Video Media Center operated by the district has been selected as an educational donation career experience certified institution since 2015, helping youth experience careers in video media fields such as announcer, PD, and film production through the talent donation of center staff.
On-site job experiences allowed students to directly experience video shooting, editing, and announcing in the center's studio and receive feedback from experts, providing high-quality job experience.
In particular, when on-site experiences became difficult due to the spread of COVID-19, the center produced job-specific video content and distributed it to schools, offering experience programs utilizing online methods, which was also highly evaluated.
In addition, the district carried out various activities to support youth career experiences, such as career special lectures visiting schools directly and participation in online career fairs.
The district plans to continue providing programs that resolve curiosity about related fields and help students develop their dreams and capabilities through lectures, job experiences, and interviews for local youth.
