According to the Seongdong Police Station in Seoul on the 28th, a report suspecting child abuse was received by the police at 3:48 PM the previous day concerning a female infant A (16 days old) admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit of a hospital in Seoul.
MRI examination revealed that A had symptoms of cerebral hemorrhage and retinal hemorrhage. The attending physician, after reviewing the test results, suspected child abuse and reported it to the police. It was confirmed that A's mother had admitted the baby to the hospital for treatment because the infant was not feeding well.
