LG Uplus Reports Operating Profit of 979 Billion KRW Last Year... Raises Dividend Payout Ratio to 40%
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] LG Uplus announced on the 28th that its operating profit on a consolidated basis last year increased by 10.5% year-on-year to 979 billion KRW. During the same period, sales rose 3.2% year-on-year to 13.8511 trillion KRW, and net profit also increased by 51.5% to 724.2 billion KRW. LG Uplus decided on a cash dividend of 350 KRW per common share. The total dividend amounts to 150.4 billion KRW.

LG Uplus will raise its dividend payout ratio to strengthen its shareholder return policy. The company announced that to enhance corporate value and strengthen shareholder return policies, it will change the dividend payout ratio from the previous 30% or more to 40% or more, an increase of 10 percentage points, starting this year. The revised dividend policy will be applied from the 2022 fiscal year.
