[Special Stock] Ecopro BM Under Insider Trading Investigation, Shares Steady in Early Trading
[Asia Economy Reporter Myunghwan Lee] EcoPro BM, which plummeted following news of an insider trading investigation, is showing a flat trend in early trading on the 27th.
At 10:50 a.m. that day, EcoPro BM was trading at 323,900 KRW, down 1.4% from the previous day. It rebounded early in the session, rising to 346,600 KRW, but then declined again.
However, the holding company EcoPro (up 6.26%) and its affiliate EcoPro HN (up 14.29%) are rebounding.
Meanwhile, key executives of EcoPro BM are under investigation by financial authorities and prosecutors for insider trading allegations (violation of the Capital Markets Act). According to industry sources, EcoPro BM underwent an on-site investigation by the Financial Services Commission's Capital Market Inspection Team around September last year.

Following reports about the investigation, EcoPro BM acknowledged the probe on its website on the 26th, stating, "Some executives and employees of EcoPro and its affiliates are under prosecutorial investigation for insider trading using undisclosed material information related to EcoPro BM stock." The company added, "We will take appropriate measures according to relevant laws throughout the ongoing process and actively cooperate with the investigation."
