On the 27th, LG Electronics announced that it has established dedicated experience zones in LG Best Shop stores where customers can directly try out the LG ThinQ app, which integrates artificial intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.
Currently, LG Electronics operates LG ThinQ app experience zones at about 50 locations, including LG Best Shop Gangnam Main Store, Gangseo Main Store, Daechi Main Store, Bulgwang Main Store, Icheon Main Store, Ssangmun Main Store, and Ilsan Main Store. They plan to expand these experience zones to approximately 150 stores nationwide within the first half of the year and continue increasing the number.
Customers can use kiosks installed in the LG ThinQ app experience zones to utilize the LG ThinQ app and experience an innovative intelligent lifestyle. Through the LG ThinQ app, customers can remotely control various LG Objet Collection products such as air conditioners, air purifiers, and robot vacuum cleaners.
LG Electronics also introduces the evolving functions of ‘UP Appliances’ through continuous upgrades in the LG ThinQ app experience zones. UP Appliances provide a customer experience similar to using new and customized products by upgrading appliances after purchase.
Additionally, customers can experience features that allow them to preset various modes such as Outing Mode, Homecoming Mode, and Vacation Mode to control multiple products at once according to their desired situations. Beyond LG Electronics products, customers can also control IoT accessories registered on Apple’s ‘HomeKit’ (a platform for controlling smart home devices based on iPhone), such as lighting, curtains, and blinds, through the LG ThinQ app.
The LG ThinQ app was further upgraded at the end of last year by introducing various new features that make customers’ daily lives more convenient.
LG Electronics added various functions to the LG ThinQ app, including ▲‘Appliance Report,’ which analyzes diverse usage data to inform users about appliance usage patterns, recommended modes, and consumable suggestions ▲‘Energy Monitoring,’ which allows users to check the energy consumption and estimated costs of registered appliances ▲‘Life Lab,’ where users can ask experts about clothing and laundry or learn optimal washing methods and garment care based on clothing types ▲and ‘Smart Diagnosis,’ which analyzes appliance status data to notify users of potential malfunctions.
